Description
A traditional national drink from Algarve region, obtained from an old recipe of bitter almond liqueur that quicly widespread to be consumed to the whole country. It can be enjoyed as an aperitif, digestif or cocktail. Production begins in the Amarguinha rigorous selection of its components and ends in the period of maturation in casks and amazon oak, which gives a great stabilization and incomparable richness of aromas. Companhia das Quintas achieved the best results ever on the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 20th edition, with gold medals for wines from all the regions. Douro wines, Beira Interior, Lisbon, Alentejo Bucelas earning the jury applause, with a resulto of 12 medals, eight of them gold. Besides these prizes Companhia das Quintas has attended other competitions that also recognized the company's wines. Among them, the Sommelier Wine Awards, the International Challenge du Vin in Bordeaux, which distinguished many wines from this Quinta. The wines quality range of the company came to be underlined by the prestigious wine critic Robert Parker, who evaluated six Companhia das Quintas wines above 90 points.
