Description

Dom Cristina liqeuer is a traditional Honey Brandy from Portimão, Algarve. A tasty combination of honey and arbutus, flavored with mountain plants that became popular among Algarve people for its excellent flavor.
With almost 60 years  this liqueur mixture was adapted to an industrial process by Cristina family who managed to keep the drink artisan characteristics that inspired its production.

 

 

Tasting Notes
A flaming golden color capable of reflecting light. A pronounced honey aroma, combined with meadowsweet Herbs, musk, linden flower, chamomile and wild sweet herbs.
Lust and smooth , the liqeuer spirit awakens the taste buds, revealing an underlying firmness and a sense of a balanced heat. Excellent balance and long finish.

History
Cristina family produces the most famous Portuguese Brandy Honey liqueur for 60 years. Made with the original recipe of Oliveiros Cristina grandfather, his father David Cristina dedication made him won numerous awards, and a firm motivation in his son David Cristina to continue this magnificent production.

The inimitable taste of a family secret that is part of Algarve history and experience of masters spirit makers within Cristina family.

Currently, this tasty brandy honey mixture is aged in French oak casks to preserve all the qualities of a natural product. While modern filling have been introduced in processing and filtering, preparing and aging this liquor in oak casks continue to be meticulously followed.

It also remain the careful selection of the best honey, arbutus and brandy in order to maintain a high standard of quality and taste.

Like 60 years ago, the liquor is still produced by the same family business, proud of the quality consistency, which today is revealed into the Portuguese liquor most prized internationally.
